Head of HSE Offshore (m/f/d)

Responsibilities:

  • ·        Project HSE management function to support the project team with safety related construction and onstruction requirements.
  • ·        Responsible for providing expert and professional advice on all project health, safety and environmental issues.
  • ·        Actively participate in promoting a high standard of HSE awareness and culture.
  • ·        Leading the HSE culture within the projects to ensure there is visible HSE leadership and commitment within the teams.
  • ·        Guide internal and external contractors in developing and upholding an HSE culture that enables safe operations and compliance with internal and external safety requirements.
  • ·        Collaborate with line management and joint venture board members in the development and implementation of HSE related actions.
  • ·        Ensure that the incident reporting process is well established from project preparation to completion. Ensure that incidents are reported in accordance with project and client requirements.
  • ·        Advise project teams on HSE regulations and lead discussions on compliance solutions.
  • ·        Drive contractor engagement and contract management to ensure high HSE standards from commencement of works to project completion.

Required qualifications & competencies:

  • ·        Degree in Health and Safety related discipline, engineering / safety engineering or similar.
  • ·        Minimum 5 years’ experience as HSE professional, preferably in Offshore Wind, onshore/offshore construction, energy sectors.
  • ·        Ideally hold an audit qualification such as OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001/ISO 14001 internal auditor
  • ·        Experience in internal and external Stakeholder management.
  • ·        Good written and spoken English, further foreign languages are an advantage.
